web design your business
If the purpose of your business website is to generate new business the most difficult job you will face in creating your business website is getting traffic to your website. The next most difficult task is to keep the traffic on your website long enough to buy something.
Developing then publishing your website is only one small step in owning a business website. As your developer I will quide you through the process, however, it is up to you to work your website to work for you.
One of my jobs is to make sure all the elements on your web pages are in place to optimize your web pages. This includes the meta data, header tags, image tags, and navigation and links.
Your job is to provide the keywords (words or phrases that people type into the search engines to find your website) that relate to your business. This can range from being a very simple to a very difficult task. For example, a product description or part number would be a simple keyword. On the other hand discovering the keyword(s) used by your prospective customers or clients can be demanding on your time and energy. You can outsource this job, however, it is very expensive.
There are many more issues that you should review with your staff prior to contacting your web developer. We outlined these issues in detail for you in our Web Design Your Business booklet. Get your free booklet by signing up on the right.
